AACFB Scholarship Program
The AACFB scholarship is available to high school seniors and college undergraduate students, including those in junior college, trade school, or technical school. Applicants must be recommended by an active member of AACFB. Applicants may not be an immediate relative of an AACFB member.
Applicants must demonstrate need and the ability to complete their course of study. Along with a completed application
, the following items must be submitted to AACFB headquarters at email@example.com
prior to the deadline to be considered.
- A typed essay from the applicant demonstrating the need for the funds and how the funds will be used. The essay should be between 400 and 1,000 words.
- Two reference letters. One should be from a member of the faculty or administration of the school the applicant is currently attending. The other should be from someone other than the AACFB member who nominated them and not an immediate family member.
- A copy of the applicant's previous year and current year report card or a copy of the applicant's transcript.
Method of Judging
A panel of three AACFB Scholarship Taskforce members will review the materials submitted and determine scholarship award winners. Grades will not be a primary factor in determining scholarship recipients, although applicants should have achieved passing grades in all classes to be considered.
Size of Scholarship and Use of funds
Scholarship recipients may use the funds for any expenses that advance their education, including housing. This is a cash award of $500.
The period to apply is September 1 to December 15. The award will be made no later than March 1st of the following year.
